5 Favourite Quotes

Lately, I have been feeling uninspired and unmotivated, which is the complete opposite of the high I was feeling just over 2 weeks ago. But that’s life, the wave just keeps going up and down. During those times of the low wave, I know how I get; I get anxious, I want to stay home all day and I feel blah. But one thing that always sheds even the tiniest bit of light through those times is quotes. Writing speaks to my soul, especially when the soul needs a boost or some healing, words tend to help.

So here are 5 of my favorite quotes:

  1. “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams” – Oprah Winfrey

  2. “Anything is possible if you’ve got enough nerve” – J.K. Rowling

  3. “We generate fears while we sit. We overcome them by action. Fear is natures way of warning us to get busy” – Dr. Henry Link

  4. “As long as you’ve got passion, faith and are willing to work hard, you can do anything you want in this life”– Anonymous

  5. “For what its worth: Its never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start over” – F. Scott Fitzgerald

During those lower waves remember the high waves you had and that they will come back soon.

Light in the Dark

These days we find ourselves surrounded by darkness, but we need to remember that when we unite together against that darkness, we are a bright light that cannot be extinguished. I thought I would share with you today some quotes that I read to remind myself that dark times come to an end eventually, and that light and hope can shine through.

“Dark times lie ahead of us, and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right”.- Dumbledore

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times when one only remembers to turn on the light”.- J.K. Rowling

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that”.- Martin Luther King Jr.

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness”. – unknown author

“Dark times won’t last forever”. – unknown author

I hope that you keep fighting, and keep being a bright light in the world…

Top 5 Motivational Quotes

They say that motivation needs to come from within. Which is true, but that little voice of motivation often gets clouded by fear, laziness, hurt, sadness, doubt and so much more. We often we can’t do something, and if that thought stays in our head, of course, we are not going to do it. This is why we need to turn to exterior sources of motivation. Similar to an “if all else fails” plan.

So here are my 5 top motivational quotes that make a difference for me. I really do encourage you to come up with, or find quotes that will inspire you, and get you motivated.

  1. “I Want To Live My Life So That I’ll Be Able To Read An In-Depth Biography About Myself In Later Years And Not Puke” – Paris Gellar (Gilmore Girls)
  2. “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.” – Steve Jobs
  3. “Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game” – A Cinderella Story
  4. “She Believed She Could so She Did”
  5. “If we wait until we’re ready, Well be waiting for the rest of our lives.” – Lemony Snicket

I hope these brightened your day or motivated you to go do something. Quotes really do help you push out the negative thoughts in your brain that stop you from doing something.
